OptimaYieldMethodology

Trust architecture

Know where every
number came from.

OptimaYield is designed around evidence lineage: original regulatory records remain immutable, derived metrics are versioned, and corrections never erase history.

01

Acquire

Pull official Call Report, UBPR, BankFind, and Summary of Deposits releases. Record source URL, retrieval time, release date, hash, and schema version.

02

Preserve

Store raw files unchanged in object storage. Every normalized fact points back to its batch, institution, period, form, schedule, and source field.

03

Normalize

Resolve FDIC certificate, RSSD ID, legal entity history, mergers, branches, and holding-company relationships without rewriting old identities.

04

Derive

Compute ratios through versioned formulas with effective dates, units, null rules, and reproducible inputs. Never hide denominator changes.

05

Validate

Run row counts, balance checks, cross-source reconciliation, revision detection, outlier review, and quarter-completeness gates before publication.

06

Publish

Expose a timestamped semantic layer to pages, exports, alerts, and APIs. If evidence is incomplete or conflicting, the product abstains.

Live source contract

What is live today

  • Coverage: 1,065 current institutions reporting at least $1 billion in total assets.
  • Periods: 41 quarterly releases from Q1 2016 through Q1 2026; current comparisons use Q4 2025 when the bank qualifies in both periods.
  • Fields: ASSET, DEP, LNLSNET, ROA, ROE, NIMY.
  • Evidence: full FDIC source archives remain immutable; the asset threshold applies to normalized publication.
  • Richer profiles: five institutions include an eight-quarter curated view.
  • Limits: crossing below the threshold removes a bank-period from the public comparison universe.
